Beijing GangWashi Church Holds "Pray for Tomorrow's Peace" Sunday Worship

Beijing GangWaShi Church held the "pray for tomorrow's peace" Worship Service, on the 70th anniversary of the victory of the war, through pastoral sermon, prayer and hymn-singing.

The church's website reported that during the Worship Service, Pastor Zhang Jinxing preached about "peace." Reciting the bible verses in Isaiah 2:1-4, she hoped that the Gospel of Jesus Christ will bring eternal peace. Another, Sun Naimu, also preached the Gospel of Matthew 26:47-56 scripture, he wishes every Christian to be a messenger of peace and that they will reject any form of violence whether bodily, through language or attitude.

In the evening, Pastor Du shared the teachings of Jesus which was "blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of god." An exhortation so that all brothers and sisters will continue loving the Lord.

At the meeting, the night choir and youth team sang the hymn "God of Song," "The Day of Peace," "Pray for Love & Unity," "Song of the Hebrew Slaves," among other songs. A Christian Sister, Li Yun, performed "The Sound of Peace" by a traditional instrument, Guzheng, and Brother Pan Wen-Jun sang a solo song named "I Wish" as a call for love and peace.

The Brethren and sisters also prayed together for the country, for world peace. Then, Pastor Zhang Jinxing prayed especially for the people in trouble and asked the Lord to comfort any injured man. The worship service ended with the hymn, "Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee."
