On March 30, 2019, the hymnal in the Zaiwa language, a branch of the Jingpo languages, was released in Yunnan.

The Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture Christian Council (CCC) and Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) held the ceremony to promote the sinicization of Christianity in the prefecture, according to the WeChat account, "Micro Jingpo".

The Zaiwa language, a pinyin script used by a portion of the official Jingpo nationality in the Jingpo ethic area in the prefecture, was created in 1957.

A believer witnessed that they used to sing hymns in Mandarin and the Jingpo language. As a result, some local Christians failed to understand them. The hymnal in their heart language was helpful for them to understand the content and convey their feelings about faith.

The local religious officials, representatives of the prefecture and some cities' CCC&TSPM, the team of the Zaiwa Bible translation, as well as believers attended the ceremony.
