The China Christian Council and Three-Self Patriotic Movement (CCC&TSPM) now solicits submissions for the the 11th Assembly of the World Council of Churches (WCC).

According to CCC&TSPM, the Assembly will be held in Karlsruhe, Germany in September of 2021, with theme of "The Love of Christ Brings the World to Reconciliation and Oneness".

Reverend Dr. Olaf Witt, Director-General of WCC said that the theme would "help us focus on the universal movement of love, to follow Christ and to testify of His love - to manifest this love in the search for justice, peace and the unity based on the spirit of love. The human race needs love and to be loved in order to be able to face our future together."

In order to better share the development of the Chinese Church with the rest of the ecumenical church, CCC&TSPM calls for hymns and prayer content (about prayers, confessions, responsorial, and blessings, etc.) for the conference.

Requirements for submissions should include: the theme and scriptures must follow Corinthians 5:14 and 5:18-21; hymns, music and prayer content are to reflect the characteristics of Chinese culture; and, lyrics and prayers should be bilingual, in English and in Chinese.

The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2020.

CCC&TSPM will also choose outstanding submissions to form a collection of material to reflect on the sinicization of the Chinese Church.
