As of February 7, 2020, the church in Midong District of Urumqi in China's northwestern Xinjiang has given donations of about 21,500 yuan to a local red cross.

Among the donations, one was from a security guard of the church in Yuanyi Village in Midong District, according to the WeChat account of "Jianghe". He gave out 2,000 yuan which amounts to more than half of his monthly salary. He said, "If the country is facing tough times, then so will my family. Although I'm just a security guard with limited capability, I would like to offer as much as I can."

The donation campaign is still ongoing in the district's religious community as the epidemic situation remains tough.
