As the coronavirus outbreak spreads to the whole country from Wuhan, two churches in China's central Hubei began a prayer relay movement.

From 00:00 a.m. of February 10 to the midnight of February 13, Jinzhou Church and Shashi Church united to pray for the COVID-19 epicenter Wuhan and affected areas as well as medical personnel on the frontline and other industry workers, according to Shashi Church.

The participants volunteered through WeChat, China's hottest social media platform. Every member was supposed to pray for half an hour at home to keep the relay going. A total of 196 people joined in it.

Since the work resumption date in Hubei was postponed to Feb. 20, the second prayer relay continued from 00:00 a.m. of Feb. 14 to the midnight of Feb. 17.
