Elder Wang Minxia, president of the Shangzhou branch of the China Christian Council and Three-self Patriotic Movement, together with tens of church members divided into two groups, paid visits to 94 low-income families living in the foothills of the Qinling Mountains on January 6-22, 2019.

These families, scattered amongst 14 villages under 12 towns, received 100 blankets, 2700 yuan in cash, as well as cooking oil and rice.

Upon arriving at a household, Elder Wang praised God, shared words from Scripture with everyone, and encouraged the staff. Group members felt grateful and had a deeper understanding of the significance of taking care of those in poverty when they saw the warm, sincere smiles and listened to the testimonies of the recipients..

Wang Minxia, finishing the visit in the afternoon of the 22nd, said that it was an honor and historically significant for the Shangzhou Church to take part in the tough battle of "poverty eradication", and that the Church would go all out to help.
