At least 21 speakers from the 12 gatherings of Yangcheng competed in the tryout for a contest on preaching - also named the fourth theological thought construction and preaching communication meeting - held in Chengguan Church on August 15 in Yangcheng, Jincheng, Shanxi.
The communication began in a prayer and later, seven contestants made it to the finals conducted four days later, according to the scores. A pastor, four elders and a deacon were the judges for the competition.
Located in the southeastern part of Shanxi, the city has a population of 400,000. The church gathers in a rented house and 400 believers crowd the church which includes a prayer room and passageways.
