From May 23 to 27, 2018, a 39-person delegation from Hong Kong Yongguang Church visited the church in Sichuan.

Since a 8.0 magnitude struck Sichuan on May 12, 2008, the Pentecostal Holiness church has aided the church staff in disaster and rural areas of Sichuan for ten years. After the quake, the Hong Kong church's senior pastor Rev. Huang Yueying cared for the local church workers and believers and organized the church's volunteers and medical staff to provide care and free clinics.

A pastor who suffers from mobility problems in his lower body due to cerebral hemorrhage has been funded by the church. Moreover, it has promised to give financial assistance to a son of a deceased church worker until he graduates from university.

During the trip, the team also watched the post-disaster reconstruction in Yinxiu County, the quake's epicenter, and visited churches in southeastern Sichuan like Luzhou, Zigong, and Neijiang.

Rev. Rao Jianhua, chairman of the Sichuan TSPM, said that there were 515,000 Christians, 349 churches and religious premises, and 196 clergies in Sichuan.
