Chinese Theological Seminaries Hold 2019 Graduation Ceremonies

Various theological seminaries across China have held graduation ceremonies for 2019.

According to the official website of China Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement, Henan Theological Seminary held its 2019 graduation ceremony for 140 theology graduates on June 21.

On the morning of June 20, Zhongnan Theological Seminary held its 2019 graduation ceremony at the Ganen Church in Hubei Province. All the teachers and students of the seminary, relatives of the graduates, and all members of the Provincial Christian Affairs Service Center attended the ceremony. 

On June 27, East China Theological Seminary held its graduation worship ceremony in Shanghai's Moore Memorial Church. This year, there were 60 theological and sacred music undergraduate students graduating .Xie Bingguo, dean of the seminary, encouraged the graduates to do three things: learn to be a person who is in harmony with God's will and everyone's joy; learn to deal with church and interpersonal complexities; and, learn to work hard for God at the grassroots level and in small things with a heart willing to suffer. On the morning of June 28th, the seminary held a graduation party and program, which included a short drama, dance, choir, recitation and other presentations, all rich and varied.

On June 29, Fujian Theological Seminary held its graduation ceremony that included a time of worship. There were 216 graduates this year. Zhang Guozhu, a researcher from the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs of Fujian Province, and other guests came to speak. According to the seminary, more than 2000 people including pastors, co-workers and families of the graduates from all over the province attended the ceremony. This has been the most successful year for the seminary in its 36 year history.
