On September 7, 2019, Dalian Yuguang Street Church, which has a history of one hundred years, held a calligraphy and painting exhibition, as well as competition about the Bible and traditional culture. These activities were in conjunction with celebrating the 70th birthday of the People's Republic of China.

On Saturday morning, a festive atmosphere surrounded the chapel. A banner that read, "The 70th National Day's Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, and Bible and Traditional Culture Competition" was hung in front of the church.

There were 300 calligraphies, including paintings, paper cuttings and photos in the exhibition, to which first, second and third prizes were awarded. Leaders from Zhongshan District Administration for Religious Affairs Bureau as well as pastors gave the prizes to the the winners.

Five teams from each fellowship participated in the competition. The time of answering questions was very intense, and the team's scores were quite close. In the end, three teams stood out, winning first, second and third prizes respectively.
