On the morning of June 20, after passing preparation and security checks, Sheshan Church had its first worship service.

The church was reopened on June 16 with the approval of the local government.

According to the Protestant Three-self Patriotic Movement committee of Qixia District, Nanjing, Jiangxi, the church followed the required health plan. The persons working in the church reception took temperatures, asked people about where they had traveled recently, required everyone to keep a one-meter distance, assigned seats, and had people disinfect their hands to ensure the health and safety of all who entered the church.

The worship service itself was kept short and simple.

The next day, Sheshan Church held a national flag-raising ceremony. All the pastoral staff and more than 200 co-workers and believers attended.
