As the coronavirus pandemic has normalized, Beijing has recently lowered its prevention and control level. Fengtai Church, Chaoyang Church, Zhushikou Church and Chongwenmen Church in Beijing have issued notices stating that after government inspection they will resume in-person worship services on August 2 (Monday to Friday gatherings are still suspended).

In accordance with current requirements in Beijing, no more than 600 persons are permitted to gather in one service at Fengtai Church on Sunday. They will hold three gatherings in the morning and one in the evening.

Chaoyang Church will not have a seating capacity that exceeds 50 percent for each service. They will add one gathering in the morning, with an interval of 45 minutes between gatherings for overall ventilation and disinfection.

In accordance with the national requirements, Zhushikou Church will re-adjust its Sunday services and those attending will need to register before the service. There will be at most 130 persons in every gathering, with 60 online reservations, 40 reservations by telephone and pastoral staff, choir, worship team, service personnel and reception volunteers (who don’t need to register) will make up the remainder of persons present. Four worship gatherings will be held on Sunday in this church.

Chongwenmen Church will also re-adjust its Sunday services and require registration by those attending. The believers should attend the service and be seated according to the time they have been given. There will be five gatherings on Sunday.
