With a history of over 100 years,  Gracious Light Church, located on North Street of the Sisheng Temple in Jinjiang District, China’s southwestern Chengdu City, resumed its in-person Sunday services on June 6, 2020.

It held worship services from August 22 to 23, the weekend of the fourth week in August.

The congregation entered the church half an hour before the service began, wearing masks, and queuing up to get their seat assignments. After they had their temperature taken and ID Card and health code or health card checked, they entered the sanctuary and were seated according to their seat number, keeping a proper social distance.

Half an hour before the service began, the co-workers sang hymns with the congregation, accompanied by the piano.

Pastor Luo Yijie preached a sermon in the two services with the title of "Re-announcement of the Gospel", based on Romans 1:16-17and 3:21-26. The other two services were preached by Rev. Fan Zhengwen, with the title of "What the Lord wants from you", based on Revelation 14:6-7.

At last in the family affairs, it was said that the gatherings from Sunday to Friday continued to be suspended, as the coronavirus pandemic had not completely ended. There were catechism classes after the worship services on Saturday and Sunday morning.
