For many years, the "Spiritual Notes" handbook edited and published by CCC&TSPM (China Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement) has been a favorite of the majority of pastors and believers in China.

Based on the original devotional book, a new version is reorganized as a handbook of worship and devotional notes, according to Tianfeng Bookstore, the national associations' bookshop. The “Worship and Devotional Handbook in 2021” contains Sunday School lessons, a daily Bible lesson, and a Scripture guide for prayers for main festivals and traditional church calendars. It integrates group worship, personal devotions, and a daily record, and will be released at the beginning of 2021.

In order to find suitable solutions to the worship and the devotional practices in the Chinese church, the editor has designed this manual, adhering to basic beliefs, following biblical norms, using the traditions of the Catholic and the Protestant churches, and integrating the excellence of Chinese culture.

The bookstore also stated that in many of the passages, we could see the inheritance, adaptation, and interpretation of the church traditions. "Since the Chinese church is a united church, the worship and devotional practices in this manual do not represent or promote any denomination."
