Last Sunday, Fengshou Church in Dalian, Liaoning held a thanksgiving and praise service.

In the morning, the believers, who had experienced having their church being closed twice due to the coronavirus pandemic, rejoiced to come to the church. After passing the pandemic prevention test, they entered the two-story sanctuary and were shown their designated seats. There were no empty seats, and it was the biggest gathering of the church since the outbreak of the pandemic.

During the worship music, senior pastor and chairman of the Dalian CC&TSPM Zhao Yonggang greeted the believers and wished them a happy thanksgiving day. The believers also greeted each other and said, “Jesus loves you, and I love you too!”

Based on 2 Corinthians 13:14, Pastor Zhao gave a sermon about the grace of Jesus Christ and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit being with them all.

After the sermon, eight seekers walked to the altar to the applause from the congregation, accepting the call of God. With guidance from the pastor, they confessed their sins and became followers of the Lord. The leaders of the church presented them with Bibles.

The thanksgiving and praise service began with the hymn "Hallelujah" by a joint choir of nearly a hundred people. Various ministries presented fourteen colorful programs to express gratitude to the Triune God. The programs included the chorus of "Tears of Thanksgiving" by the Caleb Choir, the dance "All Dedication" by the Hallelujah Choir, the rhythm of "Thanksgiving My Lord" by the David's Choir and other solos.

Towards the end of the meeting, Pastor Zhao once again led the congregation in praise for half an hour, giving glory to God.

After more than two hours, the thanksgiving and praise service ended with blessings from Pastor Zhao and the cheers and praises of the congregation.
