A church in China’s southern-central Hunan Province held a Sunday service, attended by up to 99 people.

The pastoral staff suggested to its congregation that they worship at home through social media and phone calls, according to the church.

On January 10, Chengbei Church in Changsha, the province’s capital, continued COVID-19 controls as participants had to show their Health Code and Travel History Code, wear masks, and have their temperature taken before entering the sanctuary.

Some elderly believers or seekers who did not know the restrictions came to the church as normal but were prohibited entrance because of the restrictions. They gradually left for home after receiving explanations from volunteers.

In the main hall, believers wore face coverings and sat at a distance of one meter.
