Xilinhot Church in Inner Mongolia held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new temple on July 10.

The new church has a floor area of 2600 square meters (0.64 acres) and a total construction area of 7900 square meters (1.95 acres), according to CCC&TSPM.

The construction permit was obtained in early July, after receiving approval from the administrative department of urban construction planning.

More than 300 people attended the ceremony, including believers from Xilinhot City and representatives of churches in Tongliao City and 12 towns of Xilingol League.

Located in the Xilingol Prairie in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Xilinhot City is the seat of the Xilingol League Committee and Administrative Office. The city has a population of nearly 300,000 people, accounting for about one-third of the total population of the league, with about 1,000 registered Christians.
