Shaanxi Churches Donate Money to Flood-Hit Henan

Churches in three cities of China’s northwestern Shaanxi Province made a total donation of more than 122,000 yuan for Henan Province, as the province was heavily hit by torrential rainstorms in late July, with Zhengzhou City and surrounding counties severely affected.

On July 25, Tongchuan and Hancheng Municipal CC&TSPMs called on their local churches to make contributions to central China’s Henan Province. Till July 28, pastoral workers and believers in Tongchuan churches donated 37,526 yuan, which was given to the municipal Red Cross for disaster relief in Xinxiang City. While till August 1, Hancheng churches raised 80,000 yuan to be handed over to the local charity association on July 30 for the post-disaster reconstruction in Henan

Churches in Heyang County, Weinan City, urged their members to help the people of Henan on August 2. A donation of 5,000 yuan was sent to the Red Cross of Heyang County to address the emergency needs of the affected persons.
