Established in 1995, the band of Cheng District Church in Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, are composed of people from different places, with different backgrounds. Grouped together for the same mission, the band currently has nearly thirty members, aged between 30 to 45.
It mainly serves in weddings and funerals of believers’ families, focusing on filial piety, love between husbands and wives, neighbor relations, according to the Jincheng CC&TSPM. It also conveys the teachings of the Bible to people in the form of hymns, sketch comedies, and short plays, in order to "build happy families and a harmonious society".
For more than 20 years, they have traveled to six counties, cities, and districts in Jincheng. For the band, the greatest value of each service is not to show talent, but to share love with others for Jesus’ love and sacrifice.
