Elder Yang Xizhen, president and chairman of the Jinshan District CC&TSPM of Shanghai, passed away at the age of 97 on Sunday.
Yang, also a former member of the standing committee of the Shanghai CC&TSPM, was ordained as an elder in May 1985, according to the Jinshan District CC&TSPM.
Led by Elder Chen Zhimin, director of the district CC&TSPM, the memorial service was held in Shanghai on October 5.
Baskets of flowers were offered by the local churches to pay their respects to the diseased elder.
