The opening ceremony of the key teacher training class in Christian colleges was held in China's eastern coastal Jiangsu Province.

On August 29, entrusted by the Central Committee of the United Front Work Department, Nanjing Union Theological Seminary hosted a training course lasting five days. It focused on learning the Party's religious work theories, principles, policies, and the latest achievements in the Sinicization of Christianity, CCC&TSPM said.

Rev. Gao Feng, president of the seminary, pointed out in his speech that running the seminary was the key, whether it was to further promote Christianity in the Chinese context or to nourish representatives of the Christian community. The most important thing in running a seminary school was the training of teaching staff. The training class was an important measure to implement the spirit of the National Religious Work Conference and promote the teaching staff construction in seminaries.

Taking into account the COVID-19 epidemic, the trainees of the training class came from four theological schools, such as Nanjing Union Theological Seminary, Shandong Theological Seminary, Zhejiang Theological Seminary, and Jiangsu Theological Seminary.
