Two megachurches in Beijing and Shenzhen will be organizing retreats during the May Day holiday to renew the faith of believers.

Recently, Beijing Chongwenmen Church issued a notice stating that a spiritual meeting themed "Renew Me Again" will be hosted on May 2–3 to help relieve Christians’ physical and mental fatigue and worry through the word of God.

Founded in 1870 by the Methodist Episcopal Church in America, the church has hosted many renowned individuals, including former US presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

On April 28, Longgang Church in Shenzhen announced a retreat from April 30 to May 1, inviting relatives and friends of believers to attend. The event will feature sermons delivered by Rev. Huang Jinbin from Nanjing Union Theological Seminary in Jiangsu and Elder Han Meng’ai of Shantou Church in Guangdong.

The church has a floor area of 2997 square meters (0.74 acres) and a construction area of 4869 square meters (1.2 acres), estimated to have cost more than 38 million yuan.
