For first-time parents, it can be overwhelming and stressful just to think that you need to take care of another human being with your own genes. You wanted to make sure everything is best and that you are doing the right thing.

You can always ask your parents, family or friends for advice on how to deal with your children. You can also rely on God's words and ask guidance on how to make sure that your child or children will grow the way Jesus wants him or her to be.

Proverbs 22:6

"Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it."

Deuteronomy 4:9

"Only give heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently, so that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen and they do not depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your sons and your grandsons.

Matthew 18:10

"See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

Deuteronomy 6:7

"You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up."

Proverbs 29:17

"Correct your son, and he will give you comfort; He will also delight your soul."

Colossians 3:21

"Fathers, do not exasperate your children so that they will not lose heart."

Psalm 127:3-5

"Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They will not be ashamed When they speak with their enemies in the gate."
