Chengbei Church in Changsha, Hunan Province, held a Chinese Lunar New Year's prayer meeting with its pastoral staff.

On February 19, during the working hours of the first day after the Chinese Spring Festival holiday, Rev. Ren Xia, vice-president and vice-chairman of Changsha CC&TSPM, called on the participants to "honor God and benefit others, offer himself or herself as a sacrifice, and work hard."

This meeting of prayer was divided into three sections. The first section's subject was "praying for the world pandemic" and "praying for China's blessing," according to 1 Timothy 2:1-3. While the coronavirus epidemic is rampant, they prayed for it to be managed as soon as possible, the congregation praised for providing a regular existence.

The second part was to pray for Chinese churches and all church ministries at Chengbei. "May the Lord strengthen us, and we continue to learn and practice the sinicization of Christianity and to allow us to establish more effectively the pastoral service of the Church of Chengbei. May the Lord lead the progress of ministry and complete the Year Xinchou ministry plans."

In the third section, they were praying for church fellowships, families and also the pastoral ministry of the subordinate Xingang Church.
