As the pandemic situation stabilized in China, churches in many provinces decided to resume in-person gatherings in early September.

After one month’s closure, Enguang Church in Chengdu, Sichuan, announced the continuation of in-person gatherings from August 28, with four worship services held on last Saturday and Sunday.

Chengbei Church in Changsha, Hunan, released a notice on September 1, stating that gatherings on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday would be restarted, with Sunday services scheduled to be resumed on Sept 12, as the church’s roof repair construction is still in progress.

Jinsha New District Church in Qitaihe, Heilongjiang, announced on its official WeChat account that the congregation could worship God on Wednesdays and Sundays with the COVID-19 vaccine certificates, keeping a social distance.

Xiangcheng Church and Gongxiang Church in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province released announcements respectively on Aug 31 and Sept 1, to resume services on Saturday evening and Sunday starting from Sept 4th.

The continuation of face-to-face services from Sept 5 was announced by churches in two provinces, including Suzhou Mujia Garden Church and Wuzhong District Hengjing Church in Jiangsu Province, Zhuhai Xiangzhou Church, and Sanshui District churches in Guangdong Province.
