To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, a local community donated a batch of relief supplies to a church in southeast China’s Jiangxi Province last Sunday when it reopened.

The central urban area of Yichun City has reached zero-COVID status at the community level after multiple rounds of regional nucleic testing had been carried out. The Jesus Church reported that industrial production and people’s lives returned to normal starting on May 8 after following the guidelines of the Yichun Municipal Command Center for COVID-19 Control and Prevention.

Laying great stress on epidemic containment efforts in the church, Zhou Xiangyou, secretary of the Party Committee of Zhegu Community reiterated that believers must follow the COVID-19 protocols, sending masks, disinfectants, and other anti-epidemic materials to the church when it resumed Sunday service on June 12.

Previously, the church donated money and food to the community, helping local impoverished people and the elderly.
