A memorial service was held at a church in Fujian Province before the Qingming Festival, which falls on April 5 this year.

On April 1, more than 300 Christians from Shan’ge Church in Pinghe County, Zhangzhou City, attended a memorial service at Hongsekou Fushou Hall to remember more than 50 deceased members.

Pastor Jiang Min preached a sermon titled "Follow in the Footsteps of the Lord," citing 1 Peter 2:21. After the prayer of Elder Chen Shuangfeng, vice president of the Pinghe County Christian Council, the congregation sang hymns in the dialect of south Fujian.

Beginning in 2018, Pinghe County has implemented a cremation system, with bone ash being stored in Fushou Hall in each township.

Since 2018, Shange Church has gathered believers to hold memorial services every year at Qingming Festival (except during the three-year-long pandemic).
