"To Dance Sitting in Wheels," this is perhaps an impossible dream of the disabled in their whole life. However, on Oct. 17, the Nanjing YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association), Nanjing YWCA (Young Women's Christian Association), and Nanjing Disabled Person's Foster Care Service Association held a public performance together, providing a cherished chance for the disabled.

In the afternoon, the "China Dream My Dream" 2015 Love in Jinling --- Helping the Disabled Public Performance” was held in the Nanjing Palace Hall. Over 500 people consisting of students representatives from over ten disabled foster care service institutions and volunteers of YMCA joined the performance. Most of the programs were made and directed by the disabled students, including poem recitals, wheel dances, waist drumming, sign language songs, and scene play performances.

It is said that in the last five years, the Nanjing YMCA and YWCA focused on vulnerable groups, organized training volunteers and provided services for the aged, disabled and poor teenagers. They have raised a fund of over 4.8 million yuan from overseas and opened the Home of Grace, a day care center for the disabled, and the Truls Eco Gader, an agricultural treatment basement that trains the disabled to care for themselves.
