A Chinese Christian called Li Yinming initiates a campaign of writing out the Bible, planning to copy the complete Bible in his handwriting within three years. It attracts over 60 people to join the line.

The campaign begins with his own story. On December 11, 2015, Li Yinming fasted to adjust his work and life. During the fasting and prayer he realized it was not good to be addicted to smartphone games any more. Then Li thought of an idea: copying the Bible by handwriting to influence his children positively.

In the beginning Li copied several chapters per day. But later he found the amount was too much and it went not well, then he changed to copy one chapter at least. He even publishes his daily status on Wechat in order that his friends could oversee the progress.

Li says the Bible has over one thousand chapters and it takes three years to complete if you copy one per day. When his 15yo daughter reaches to 18, he will give her a full script of the Bible as her birthday present.

He confesses that besides helping him get rid of the bad habit of playing games, copying the Bible helps him to understand God's word deeply, which is more important. His wife supports him and his two daughters participate in the campaign, too.

His persistence attracts over 60 Christians from Hebei, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and even foreign countries to join the campaign. He establishes a group chat on WeChat where members upload their copying works and sign in every day. The members who insist longer will be rewarded with Christian accessories.

Besides the members, Li estimates that there are around four or five hundred Christians who are not in the group chat are hand copying the Scripture every day.
