Fans of Marvel's Captain America will rejoice as Xinhua reported Friday that the movie "Captain America: Civil War" will be having a major release in the country.

In the report, the film's co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo will be holding a promotional event in Beijing on April 19, alongside the film's stars Chris Evans, Anthon Mackie and Sebastian Stan. In the same event, the directors would be revealing the release date of the movie.

According to rumors, the Chinese release of the latest installment to Captain America will be launched on May 6. Should this be the exact date of its release, it would put Captain America's Chinese release in synch with the wide release of the movie in North America. The movie is set to premier on April 12 in Los Angeles and film releases worldwide are slated either on the last week of April or on the first week of May.

The predecessor of "Captain America: Civil War", "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" was released in China on May 4, 2014 and grossed $38.8 million on its opening. Eventually, it reported a gross of $116 million.

Other incoming Disney titles are also rumored to follow Civil War such as Alice Through the Looking Glass. According to some sources, Chinese-language promotional posters for the film and a Chinese trailer is already out despite the fact the film has yet to be reviewed for censorship.
