But during these days, he chose to get closer to the Lord, read the scriptures, and listened to the Lord. In the scriptures, he was constantly convinced that “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. I have also crucified the flesh, and I believe. I do believe!” He said that he wanted to clean his body, mind, and spirit, making the Lord Jesus preeminent in everything.
In fact, it is very normal for young brothers in their 20s to have sexual desire. But Christians should be wary of falling into the trap of pornography because of emptiness, boredom, or seeking excitement. Christians should also be aware that they cannot overcome the domain of darkness by their own willpower but can only flee youthful passions by getting closer to the Lord and the love of the Lord. It is also important that Christians must reject the domination of sin in us.
Faith is a fierce battle. Today, people in most places don’t need to give their lives for faith, but for the sins in our lives, we also need to fight against them with steadfast purpose even to the point of “death”.
