Believers of 34 churches in Huojia County, Xinxiang Township, central China's Henan Province were baptized in six joint services in six churches over four days in early August this year.

Baptism is held every other year by the county's tradition. This means that many brothers and sisters already converted have to wait for baptism because the timeframe is too infrequent. Also, many people working in other cities often miss the baptism due to work. Therefore, the church held a non-scheduled baptism ceremony.

Churches in a northern district held a combined service on the first Sunday in August. Then on Aug 10, Wangguanying Church baptized believers of the church and other places and on Aug 12, Jiangcun Church held a baptism ceremony. Finally, on Aug 13, two more churches baptized their believers. Communion was held later that afternoon in Dingcun Village and new believers were baptized.

The actual people baptized were more than the 110 registered. Fortunately, some migrant workers were able to attend since they had gone back to their hometown to be with their children during summer vacation. College students who returned for vacation were also there for the baptism. There were even some people who converted prior to the service because they were touched and determined to receive baptism.
