On the morning of November 26, the church in the city of Manyun in Yunnan province held a ceremony to unveil Christian religious activity sites.

The ceremony began with the national anthem and the raising of the flag, according to the church. Nearly a hundred church leaders attended the unveiling ceremony, receiving plaques that listed the names of the religious sites.

Pastor Yanwen, president of the autonomous prefecture’s Christian Council, gave a speech. He reviewed the 29-year development of the Christian council and considered this event as a leap forward in the Sinicization of Christianity.

Yu Kannen, director of the autonomous prefecture Ethnic & Religious Affairs Bureau, said that Christians in the autonomous prefecture contributed to the promotion of the Sinicization of Christianity and religious harmony. They also held orderly worship services and took part in public welfare and charity events. He said that through this event, the Christian Council could guide the believers to have a correct view of the relationship between national laws and the regulations of the churches.
