Churches in Luonan County, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province, purchased emergency relief materials worth 5,190 yuan for local flood-hit people, as the county was hit by floods triggered by torrential rain.

According to the county's statistics, as of 6 p.m. on July 25, 77,961 people in 172 villages (or communities) in 16 towns were affected, as the water levels of many rivers soared due to heavy rainstorms on July 23, according to Shaanxi CC&TSPM.

Under the leadership of Elder Isaac Chen, believers of Luonan County churches, including Yongfeng Town meeting point and Bao’an Town gathering site, jointly purchased the relief supplies last Sunday.
