In early November, churches in Jiangxi, Sichuan, and Liaoning Province, as well as in Chongqing City, announced the recent suspensions of all in-person services and gatherings due to the new cases of COVID-19.

On November 3, Nanchang Municipal CC&TSPM in Jiangxi Province announced the temporary closures of all churches and sites in the city on its official WeChat account.

On the same day, Agape Church in Chongqing stated that it was in lockdown, as all entertainment venues, tourist attractions and religious sites were required to shut down according to Chongqing Command Center for COVID-19 Control and Prevention.

The next day, Guangyin Church and Gracious Light Church in Chengdu, Sichuan, said that all in-person gatherings would cease from the following day due to some new coronavirus cases.

On November 5, Thanksgiving Church in Chengdu announced the implementation of the measure of "double suspensions", which refers to suspending the opening of places of gatherings and religious activities.

Christians were reminded to read the Bible and pray at home for the pandemic to come to an end, according to Gaoxin District CC&TSPM in Chengdu.

Due to a local confirmed case reported on November 4 in Zhuanghe City by Dalian Command Center for COVID-19 Control and Prevention, all onsite gatherings of churches in Zhuanghe were halted, followed by suspensions of all in-person services in Dalian City from October 5, as well as in Shenyang City, which had only recently reopened.
