Jiangsu churches in Changshu City implemented the measure of "double suspensions" due to the new wave of the pandemic, which refers to suspending the opening of places of worship and religious activities.

On its official WeChat account on February 14, Changshu Municipal TSPM in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, announced the recent suspensions of face-to-face services and gatherings in all churches of the city from that day on till further notice, aiming to protect believers’ health and safety.

Church members are also reminded to follow personal protection measures, do devotional practice, be vigilant of online information and web links from unknown origins, and avoid being lured by heresies and cults and straying from the truth.

Suzhou Municipal People's Government Information Office said on Monday that seven confirmed cases and one asymptomatic infection were detected in Suzhou on February 13.
