Guangdong CC&TSPM donated 430,000 yuan on Guangdong Poverty Alleviation Day which falls on June 30.

At the donation ceremony that various religious bodies attended in, Rev. Fan Hongen, chairman of Guangdong provincial TSPM, gave a speech to report on Christianity's poverty alleviation work in the province in recent years.

Rev. Fan mentioned that provincial CC&TSPM had donated nearly five million yuan in the past ten years, Shamian Church provided about two million yuan for student aid,  and Xiehe Church had spent more than 1.5 million yuan on free clinics activities.

Since the outbreak, the provincial CC&TSPM has mobilized all churches to donate relief materials equivalent to four million yuan; churches in many places in the province helped other churches to solve the rent and salaries of churches.

During the ceremony, Rev. Guo Yun, president of the provincial Christian Council, on behalf of the provincial CC&TSPM, donated 430,000 yuan, with other donations from churches across the province.
