A church in Inner Mongolia held its first baptism service since the pandemic broke out in early 2020.

Tian’en Church in Hailar District, Hulun Buir City, baptized 29 believers on November 12, following protocols for COVID-19.

Directly belonging to Hulun Buir CC&TSPM, the church was put into use on August 3, 2016, holding the baptism service on Easter every year. Affected by the epidemic in recent years, it has not been engaged in baptism ministry for three consecutive years (2020-2022).

Following the resumption of in-person gatherings in September, staff workers of the church council discussed and decided to retrain the believers who could have been baptized in the past three years, aiming to strengthen their faith. After a two-month catechism class that is required, these seekers finally received baptism.
