A three-day training course on family relationship counseling skills was held in Guizhou, helping church pastoral staff serve better in family ministry.

China Christian Council & the National Committee of Three-Self Patriotic Movement (CCC&TSPM), together with Guizhou CC&TSPM, held the class from December 7 to 9 in a hotel in Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou Province, according to the Social Service Department of CCC&TSPM.

Following the COVID-19 protocols, senior family education instructors, senior marriage&family instructors, senior psychological counselors, and licensed social workers in Guiyang were invited to give lectures. They shared practical experiences of counseling on family relationships such as couple relationships and parental relationships, combining life cases in their work.

Staff members learned the courses, including "The Importance of Family Relationship Counseling", "The Necessity of Premarital Education", "How to Help Your Teen With Adolescence", and "How to Keep Lasting Happiness in Your Intimate Relationship".

The attendants believed that this training course helped them understand the importance of family relationship counseling and improved their ability in this area, which laid the foundation for the future work of the church’s family ministry.
