The “Bible Reading Week” activity at Heilongjiang Theological Seminary has kicked off as the new semester ushered.

Beginning on March 3, during the five-day reading week this semester, students took turns reading aloud in groups, following a schedule of reading the New Testament twice.

Heilongjiang Theological Seminary's "Bible Reading Week" program began in 2015 and is now in its tenth year. Held twice a year at the start of the spring and fall semesters, the event includes reading the New Testament twice or three times in the spring, whereas reading the Old Testament once in the fall. Since the autumn semester of 2017, Heilongjiang Theological Seminary has set Bible reading as a required two-credit course.

During the reading week, students are supposed to spend about 10 hours reading the Bible each day, while teachers take turns accompanying them and following up on their reading progress.
