On June 20, Nanjing Union Theological Seminary held its 2025 graduation worship service and commencement ceremony in the seminary auditorium.

According to the national seminary, in line with the "Implementation Rules for the Conferment of Academic Titles in Christian Theological Seminaries and Schools in China," a total of 109 seminarians are set to graduate in 2025, including 76 undergraduates, 25 master's students, and 8 doctoral students.

During the worship service, Rev. Pan Xingwang, vice president of CCC, chairperson of Zhejiang TSPM, and president of Zhejiang Theological Seminary, preached on the theme "Remembering What Is More Important Than Preaching," based on Matthew 7:21-23. He urged graduates to remember and practice God's will, encouraging them to embrace their new beginnings with faith and courage.

Following the graduates' performance of "Farewell to Alma Mater," the conferral of graduation certificates and academic degrees took place.

A representative of the student union delivered a congratulatory address, while a graduate representative expressed gratitude in his speech. The seminary then presented books to the graduates, and in return, graduating representatives presented gifts to the alma mater.

To conclude the ceremony, Rev. Wu Wei, president of the CCC and of the seminary, led a commissioning service with prayers of blessing.

With more than 3,000 past graduates, the national seminary currently holds five graduate courses for pastoral studies, multiple Bible training, and correspondence courses. It trains a very significant amount of the talent of the Chinese church. As the highest institution of Christian learning in China, the seminary is also the earliest and largest national religious institution and an important base for nurturing Christian talent.
