The Baoshan Panshi Christian Social Service Ministry of Yunnan launched an AIDS prevention publicity campaign to mark World AIDS Day.

On November 31, a day prior to the 32th anniversary date, the ministry of Baoshan Christian Council organized local Christian leaders, theological teachers and students, as well as officials to join the activity, according to the Council.

A total of 20,000 pieces of promotional material were distributed, including booklets, fliers, condoms, calendars, and handbags.

More than 500 locals received the materials and gifts as well as were received information about AIDS prevention.

Founded on March 30, 2007, the ministry works to provide social care via anti-addiction and AIDS-prevention measures through its Gospel Addiction Treatment program, having been officially initiated on September 15, 2007.
