A county-level church in China's northeastern Jilin Province donated protective masks and heating pads to local disease control workers.

Sandao Village, Songjiang Town, Antu County of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture is a gateway to Changbai Mountain, an active stratovolcano on the Chinese-Korean border.

According to Jilin Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement (CC&TSPM), aware about the lack of protective masks among the disease control workers, Pastor Qu Jieru of the village church organized the congregation to make donations to purchase supplies for them.

The church bought 1,000 protective masks and 120 heating pads for disease control personnel in some villages and also donated 10,000 yuan. Last Saturday, being the Lantern Festival of 2020, the Antu County CC sent yuanxiao (traditionally eaten during the Festival), fruits, and black sesame soup to those staff.

Currently, churches in the whole county have donated more than 100,000 yuan for coronavirus prevention and treatment.
