Beihai Church in Guangxi organized a training course for receptionists during the May Day holiday and tourist season.

Located in the 4A-level century-old street scenic spot, the church has always been one of the must-see attractions for tourists to Beihai. Many tourists take pictures with the church and Christmas bronze statues in front of the church, while some visit the inside of the church. For years, the church has a tradition of receiving guests to Beihai, even if they want to go to the bathroom, drink water or take a short break.

The church launched a training course for its co-workers to welcome guests from home and abroad at 9 o'clock in the morning on April 30.

More than 60 people attended the training class, including all the pastoral staff, ministry group, reception team and other fellowships. After the blessing and prayer led by Elder Jia Ke, Senior Pastor Zhang Yezhong, the president of the Beihai CC (Christian Council), made a speech titled "Don't Forget Original Intention, Enhance Confidence in Faith".

Pastor Zhang first talked about the quest for common ground and tolerance while facing Christian faith and social culture. He said that finding the common characteristics of loving the party, country, and socialism in the church and society which both had truth, goodness and beauty could better spread the gospel.

Then, Pastor Zhang introduced the history of the church from the Qing Dynasty to modern society, as well as the increase in the number of believers, the reconstruction and expansion of the church after the "Cultural Revolution".

He encouraged participants to treat tourists as friends and relatives so as to spread the love of Christ, facing the May Day holiday and tourist season.
