Members of a church in China's eastern-coastal Jiangsu Province are undergoing a prayer relay to prepare for the incoming Holy Week and for an early end to COVID-19.

On its official WeChat account last Friday, Wuxi Church released an announcement about a prayer relay lasting eighteen hours from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day. Believers who signed up can choose a certain period of time to pray.

To help believers experience the growth of life in the face of the suspension of in-person gatherings caused by the repeated outbreaks and the pressure of life and work, the church encourages its congregation to pray in line with the theme and to clock in with a QR code.

The themes of this week's prayer relay cover praying for their own repentance and that of others, preparing themselves to walk with the Lord during the Holy Week which starts from April 10 and praying for the early and effective control of the epidemic and church reopening.
