A TSPM Christian leader visited a flood-stricken village in northern Fujian Province to inspect the reconstruction work.

Located in the mountainous area of northern Fujian, Xipan Village of Zutun Town in Songxi, Nanping, is made up of nine natural villages. Songxi County suffered a catastrophic flood on June 18, which caused extensive damage to the infrastructure of Xipan Village. In order to help Xipan Village rebuild its infrastructure, CCC&TSPM donated 400,000 yuan to Xipan Village Committee for the restoration of the village road damaged by the flood, the Social Service Department of CCC&TSPM reported.

Rev. Kan Baoping, vice president and director general of China Christian Council, visited Songxi County with his fellow colleagues on August 16 to know more about the disaster situation in Xipan Village, listening to the report on the post-disaster production and self-help of the village from the Xipan Village secretary.
