Though some churches in northeast China’s Liaoning Province were in lockdown again due to confirmed COVID-19 cases entering Shenyang City, a county church baptized some catechumens and distributed holy Communion.

In Changtu County Church of Tieling City on August 28, churchgoers entered the main building to praise God and pray, following the COVID-19 protocols.

After the hymns from the choir, Rev. Ge Nan, dressed in a holy robe, preached a sermon to explain the meaning, significance, and methods of baptism, citing Acts 2:37-42.

After reading Colossians 2:11-12 with the song "The Most Beautiful Blessing in This Life", Elder Chen Yu consecrated the water in front of the cross on the altar, baptizing seekers wearing the same holy robe.

After reading 1 Corinthians 11:23-30, Rev. Ge shared a sermon titled "The Seriousness of Receiving the Lord’s Supper". She emphasized that believers should accept communion in an unworthy manner with confidence and that they were required to examine themselves and recognize the body of the Lord before drinking the wine and eating the bread.

Accompanied by the hymn "Precious Cross", Christians received the communion.
