Volunteer training courses were carried out in two churches in Suzhou City of China’s eastern coastal Jiangsu province, with a total of 33 church staff attending.

On August 26, Pastor Sheng Enci from St. John's Church issued certificates of successive learning to 16 students in the pastoral area for the youth, as they had finished the study of "Basic Doctrine", said Suzhou CC&TSPM.

Two days later, led by Lu Fang, the senior pastor of Xu Shu Guan Church, another volunteer training course named "The Way of the Shepherd" culminated at the church. Adopting group learning mode, students have been practicing the theory by serving in the church since October 2019.

"The nearly three years’ training has not only improved the students' own literacy skills but also driven the Xu Shu Guan Church‘s volunteer team to grow healthily," the church said.
