A training conference was held for reporters of CCC&TSPM’s official website and its flagship magazine named Tianfeng or the Heavenly Wind.

From September 26 to 28 in Wuxi City, the meeting was attended by nearly 30 correspondents from churches across China, six of whom have won the prize of “2022 Outstanding Reporters”, said CCC&TSPM.

To improve the correspondents’ professional level and the comprehensive ability of news reporting, the organizers invited pastors, experts, and scholars to give special lectures, arranging for the exchange and sharing of work experience.

Xu Di, associate professor of the School of Journalism of Fudan University, delivered a lecture with the theme "News Writing in the New Media Era", putting forward the change in the communication environment and how to write good news in the new media era. Through actual case analysis and reverse examples, he explained how to write conference reports, news headlines, and leads, introducing the reporting structure and innovative reporting style.

In the exchange session, four representatives shared their practical experiences and challenges when writing news. Among them, Gao Yuan, a staff worker from the office of Nanjing Union Theological Seminary, said in their newly-established communication room, more than 20 students undertook the responsibility for the news reports of the five departments, such as the academic affairs office, the student affairs office, the office, the library, and the research and editing office.

Rev. Hao Zhiqiang, editor-in-chief of Tianfeng, discussed the Chinese church convergence media ministry from the aspects of opportunities and challenges of religious media in the new era and the Chinese church media integration matrix. He emphasized the intercommunication of integrated media and multi-terminal complementarity from the "blockchain" formed by the authors, editors, and readers of the magazine, as well as the association between the print edition, electronic version, and official account of Tianfeng.
