A church in China’s northeastern Liaoning Province held its first Sunday service after the Spring Festival.

Shengousi Church in Anshan City resumed on-site services on Sunday, January 29. It was one of the first churches in Anshan City to resume face-to-face gatherings after this round of epidemic.

Pastor Yang Zhenchun, the person in charge of the church, said that churchgoers still wore masks and sat at intervals to participate in the service, with the number of participants a little less than usual.

Believers read the scriptures, prayed, praised, and gave tithes and offerings together. After the choir sang, the host read Exodus 12:1-2, and then Pastor Yang gave a sermon titled "The First of the Year." He exhorted the congregation to welcome the arrival of the new year by worshiping the Lord in his holy temple and reviving the Lord's church together in a new era.
